Jean has helped leaders and employees tap into their “Originality”.
She has seen numerous organizations grow and prosper throughout her
career. Jean has shown people how to move away from the “this is the
way we do it mentality” to a more productive “ how can we be more
original?”
She has used her “Unstoppable Leadership” principles in her
twenty-five year career.
Early on she co-founded a charter fishing business and “Originality”
is what set the standard for the west coast market. Jean also helped
build and manage an electrical contracting business and excelled in
a 10 year banking career where she progressed quickly from an
entry-level position to District Manager.
Jean has also worked as an accountant, commercial lender, business
trainer and manager of strategic planning.
In 1989 Jean founded Precision Management specializing in programs
on leadership, professional development and strategic planning. She
has presented to over 1,000 audiences throughout North America.
Jean’s practical down to earth approach provides her audience’s with
a step-by-step process for igniting “Originality” within themselves
and their organization.
Jean believes that if each of us is encouraged to bring our own
perspective and experience to the way we do our job our
organizations will benefit from new and improved performance and
results.
She is a professional member of the Canadian Association of
Professional Speakers and the International Federation for
Professional Speakers. Jean is a Past President of the Toronto
Chapter. She is Past President of the Barrie Chamber of Commerce and
an elected member of the Board of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
She has been honoured as Woman of the Year and as Business Person of
the Year.
Jean lives in Oro Station, Ontario with her husband John Hopkirk and
their “Original” dog “Guinness”.
